Smart Rainforest Humidifier - Open Box (Like New)

Very impressed!, game changer for my family. Review after using for 3 weeks and going through a cleaning.

1) Humidity goal (A+) - did a great job maintaining the humidity we set , even when hvac heater was turning on multiple times during the night.

2) Functionality (B)

- simple design so able to switch modes (max, auto, night) but little else from the machine itself. You have to link the machine with the Smartmi app or apple home in order to fully utilize the machine and set the desired humidity level, cleaning mode, etc. The trouble I had was that my router was in combo 2.4ghz/5ghz mode for the network so after hours of trying to connect to the rain forrest with ny phone I realized the problem was the machine needed a 2.4ghz dedicated wifi network. I changed my router settings to separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks and then it connected fine without issue. I wish there were a few more manual options on the machine itself because it would be annoying to not be able to change the humidity setting if my network went down.

-The positive was it was nice to be able to set the humidity level and not worry about it getting too humid in the middle of the night

3) Cleanliness (A+)

- I used the machine for 1.5 weeks before doing a maintenance cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised there was no signs of mold and had no mold smell (complete opposite with my other humidifiers). There were no calcium or hard water deposits (used distilled water). Only thing i found was dust in the bottom water holder (makes sense since this is an open system). Cleaned and used the machine clean mode with concentrated lemon and everything came out perfect. I cant emphasize enough how nice it is not to see that pink hardwater deposit or smell musty odors from your humidifer

4) Value (A-)

- its expensive $300 is alot considering humidifiers can go for around $50 and evaporative humidifiers for around $200.

- however, I have spent probably about $2000 on having my air ducts cleaned, trying multiple hvac filters (hospital grade) , deep cleaning my son's room, changing his bed and sheets due to him waking up early in the morning congested and unable to breathe during the winter time when the heater turns on. Now my son's congestion is 90% gone and he is able to sleep through the night. That alone has made this humidifer worth the cost. But also not hearing my wife complain about this issue everyday makes this product PRICELESS!

Final words- i bought this on amazon because of the 30 day return policy, its pricey but trust me its worth trying this product. Great investment for your family's health and for husbads (mental peace!)

Much different from all of the mist humidifier and a beauty to look at. Easy to use, set up on Apple HomeKit, and keeps up humidity level up during the dry winter days. Gives a pleasant rain-like ambiance noise as a bonus. Would buy again.
